Jakarta – Wah, ada kabar seru nih! Menteri Perhubungan (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi lagi cerita di Instagram, katanya nih, bakal ada Kereta Otonom alias Autonomous Rail Transit (ART) di Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN).
“Gaes ada kabar gembira nih, InsyaAllah Kereta Otonom atau ART akan dibangun di IKN pada kawasan Sumbu Barat dan Sumbu Timur,” tulis Menhub lewat akun Instagram pribadinya @budikaryas pada Minggu (28/1/2024).
Ngomongin perjalanannya ke China beberapa waktu lalu, katanya, tujuan Menhub RI bukan main-main, lho! Budi Karya Sumadi ingin melihat langsung penampakan ART tersebut.
Ini bukan cuma wacana, tapi komitmen pemerintah buat bawa inovasi transportasi terkini ke IKN.
Nah, ART ini punya keunikan lho! Pakai tenaga penggerak baterai yang bisa disubstitusikan dengan marka jalan dan magnet. Kecepatan operasionalnya juga gak main-main, bisa mencapai 40 km/jam.
Bahkan! Kalau ditarik gas maksimal bisa 70 km/jam. Kapasitasnya pun besar, muat 324 penumpang. Jadi nanti, ART bakal jadi tulang punggung mobilitas di kota itu.
Menhub Budi Karya Sumadi juga ngebocorin bahwa rencana pembangunan rute ART akan dilakukan dalam dua fase. Tentu saja, ini dilakukan dengan berkoordinasi sama Badan Otoritas IKN dan Kementerian PUPR. Jadi, semuanya direncanain matang.
Oiya, gak cuma IKN aja yang bakal punya ART, loh! Menhub bilang, “ART juga sangat mungkin dibangun di kota-kota besar lainnya di Indonesia.” Jadi, bukan cuma sekadar tren di IKN, tapi bisa jadi solusi transportasi buat kota-kota besar lainnya.
Tapi beber Juru Bicara Kemenhub, Adita Irawati, pembangunan ART ini memang masih dalam tahap pembahasan, sebab keputusan akhir masih harus nunggu kajian lebih lanjut.
“Itu yang masih dibahas. Tetapi, untuk yg lain-lain kita masih lihat dulu, yang paling tepat yang mana. Disesuaikan sama kondisi daerah,” kata Adita.
